I took this shot yesterday on the beach in Holland. Beach in Holland in winter? Opposites. Sunlight in Michigan in winter? Opposites. Ice vs. open water? Opposites. A weekend of peaceful rejuvenation and relaxation with my girl friends vs. the craziness loud and busyness of home? Opposites. The best opposite of all in this picture? Clear skies in what was a very cloudy and snowy day. It was beautiful. The beach was amazing. The frozen waves were captivating. The stillness and sunshine a HUGE blessing. It was like God cleared the skies and stilled the wind just so we could enjoy his creation on this particular Saturday. It was absolutely breathtaking (see below for some of the second choice photo options...)
