We've been busy! Summer went out with a bang in the Alexander household. We took our last hot weather family vacation for this year and had a blast making memories and spending time together. Here's a peek at how we've been spending our final days of summer vacation...
Jason's mom's family had an extended family reunion in Ohio so we packed up and headed south for the first 3 days of vacation. The large picture above is Jason's mom and her siblings that were there that day. Lots of cousins grace the other pictures. I love making memories with family. They are so precious!
We returned home from Ohio on Sunday and left for the Ludington area on Monday. Jason had to work so my mom and I braved taking the four kids up north to a friend's cabin alone. :) It was SO MUCH FUN!! We had a WONDERFUL time and can't wait to get up there again. Swimming, playing, climbing, swinging, ladder-balling, scavenger hunting, eating, exploring... so many great memories made!
We came home from up north on Wednesday evening and left Thursday to camp at Camp Michawana for the holiday weekend. It was a sweet weekend spent living life with precious friends. We have had this tradition for years now and we look forward to it every year. The location changed this year which took some getting used to but the company remained the same and that was what made it so special. It was a great way to end the summer...
And that brings us here... Another school year begins....
The kids were ready to head back (even if they were a bit tired from the travels of the week before) and were very excited to meet new teachers and see old friends. It was a great day and hopefully a great start to a fun, learning filled year ahead...

That picture of Micah kicking the ball near Emilia is priceless! Emilia's face is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThey look so cute going to school. Nice coat, Micah! (Hope it still looks that nice when he grows out of it ;) ).
