What a weekend...

Jason has been bugging me to get out of the house with the kids for sometime now so that he could transform our bedroom into a "haven" for me to escape to after a busy day. My aunt in Ohio got wind of this and said she would love for us to come and visit her while Jason spent a weekend working away. The weekend was perfect for a getaway to Ohio... The weather here in Michigan was cool and rainy and the weather in Ohio was sunny and 85. We had a wonderful drive down and the kids had a great time seeing Aunt Patty and her boys (they tend to spoil them rotten). After a relaxing slow moving Saturday and Sunday it was time to head home... That is where the trip went south (all while heading north)... We left my aunt's at 6 in hopes that after one movie the kids would fall alseep for the rest of the ride. Well 20 minutes into our trip Addison threw up all over herself and her car seat. There is nothing worse than a sick kid in a car... I won't go into detail but we are still trying to get our car to smell normal again. After 20 minutes on a country road cleaning and an hour in a Wal-Mart parking lot cleaning, we were finally on our way again. We really felt the rest of the trip would go smoothly... Well 2 hours into the trip we almost got into an accident because two crazy guys were fighting over the road (seriously - the worse case of roadrage I had ever seen. I honestly thought someone was going to die) and then we hit a long detour in Lansing. You have to hate when a 5 hour trip turns into a 7.5 hour trip. ARG! But at 1:30 am when we pulled in, the most beautiful bedroom awaited me! Jason did such a fantastic job and all my anger over such a horrible trip just disappeared!

J - you really out did your self! Thank you for making our room so fabulous and a place I can run and hide in! :) I love you so much and this means more than you know!!
