If you've continued to track the journey of our vacation this long, you're such a sweet friend! :) I'm really only doing this for my own good and for those family members who are far away so if you're sick to death of hearing about Disney World, I understand. Bare with me and know that I'll be back to blogging about other mommy issues and things we've been up to (like home schooling the twins!!) in the very near future.
In the meantime, here are the photos and important memories from our second day at the Magic Kingdom. We all really loved this day. Other than being super hot, we just didn't have any complaints. Because we had seen the majority of the park the first time we were here, we could take our time seeing the things we hadn't seen yet or actually take the time to stand in lines for things we normally wouldn't have (although the longest line we stood in all of vacation was only 25 minutes. Not a bad gig at all.) or wanted to ride again and didn't have a second fast pass for (Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain for example). This was also the night that Mom and Bob left us at dinner time to go have an elegant meal at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse. I can't imagine why she would rather dine with her great hubby alone in a fine dining establishment over being in a chaotic character buffet meeting Winnie the Pooh and Friends but she did - and they LOVED it. Next time we head to Disney, maybe Jason and I will take a dinner date night and leave the kids with Micah (because that's about how old he'll be before we go back most likely). :) At any rate, here are the pictures!!
More pictures from the front of the park! New day, new photos. Love them all! Notice that we added two to our family as Micky and Minnie began trucking along with us from the moment they were purchased.
Because we had some leisure time, we took a minute to take pictures in those jail thingies... :) I don't know what they are called but the kids loved them. My favorite? The one of Ella sitting in the shackle thing.. You can barely even see her little eyes. We also survived on Frozen Lemonades to cool off and enjoyed Micky's Philharmagic for a break from the hot Florida sun (hence the 3D goggles). I recommend all three! :)
Some of our favorite attractions from the day were the Haunted Mansion and Dumbo. You can't go to Disney and not ride either of these. They are old school! However, Dumbo and the rest of Fantasy Land is under major reconstruction and has had a huge face lift. Notice Rapunzel's tower and the village from Tangled? Brand spanken new! Also Dumbo now has two sets of flying elephants and a playground to boot to make waits in line more manageable. There are new kiddie coasters, a new Under the Sea ride, Beasts Castle, Belle's cottage and many other improvements that we loved. The only problem? So did everyone else. I swear over half of the people in the Magic Kingdom at any given moment are in Fantasy Land. It was always SO crowded. We were so thankful for fastpass to make the process more manageable.
Like I mentioned above, Belle's cottage is now in Fantasy Land. This is really the only place you can now easily access seeing this princess. Its a very interactive experience were you go in, all the kids are assigned a "part" in the play of telling how Beast and Belle met and then each child gets to participate in the story as Lumiere tells it. My girls ate this up! They seriously thought it was the best thing ever. Micah was a bit bored but was a good sport none the less. Even Jason was assigned a part! Look closely. Do you see him?? :)
These are the characters we met this day! Since Micah had already suffered through meeting Belle we sent him, Bob, and Jason off to the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor for some guy time while we stood in line for Addison to meet Merida. Merida from Brave is one of Addi's favorites and I can totally see why. They have the same free spirit and strong will to be an individual and do not really care much about what others think. Addison was really excited to meet her. Too bad they are looking at the photo pass photographer instead of me! :) Way to go Ella for paying attention to Mom. We ate at the Crystal Palace for dinner where we met up with Pooh and the gang. It was a fun (but very loud) dinner and a nice way to end our last day at the Kingdom!
Whew! I'm tired just writing these posts... It must have been adrenaline keeping us going for all these days straight. Up next? Hollywood Studios! Stay tuned!
