Here he is! My new FOURTH grader!! FOURTH GRADE! I'm still in denial that this boy is that old. Micah loved third grade. We are blessed that we continue to have a great elementary school experience for this guy. He has made solid friendships and has a real passion and love for learning. All of these things make him a great student and makes for easy parent teacher conferences for mom and dad. :)
To celebrate the end of the school year, the 3rd graders trucked over to a local park for a day of fun and games (and most importantly no school work). It wasn't a fancy day full of bells and whistles but the kids truly loved every minute.
Let me explain....
- Micah and his 3rd grade teachers: Mrs. W & Mrs. M. They were a mutual admiration society all around. :) I love that they loved him as much as he loved them. We pray each summer before teacher assignments come out that God would place our kids with the best teacher for them, even if its not their top pick. The other two teachers for 3rd grade were both men. Micah really wanted to have a guy teacher and the chances were great that it would happen. We prayed hard! And when teacher assignments came in the mail he was a bit disappointed that God had said, "not this time." In the end he really had the teachers that were the BEST fit for him and we were truly blessed.
- Game Time - Spider in the Web!
- Best Buddies! Micah heads to camp with two of these boys in 9 short days!
- Hugs of support between Micah and Jared. They really are best friends and Micah will miss him so much when he heads to a new school next year.
- What's a day of games without the involvement of a rubber chicken?!
- "The Thinker" - Micah style.
- 3rd grade Roman Feast... The finale of the school year. They spent time learning about the Romans and party in true Roman fashion on the last day of school.
Favorite Friend:
Jared and Ethan (aka the three musketeers!)
Favorite Memory:
3rd Grade Park Day. No fuss, no stress - just fun!
And now we kick back and enjoy our summer chocked full of events and memories to be made! We can't wait!!
