To celebrate the end of the school year, the 1st graders spent the day at Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon. It was a fantastic day!! The kids (and adults) loved it. It really is a highlight of the 1st grade experience. They look forward to it all year. Here are some snap shots explained (starting large and moving clockwise):

- Addison and her teacher Mrs. G. Micah also had her and we were more than happy that Addison was in her class as well. She dotes on the kids in her class as if they were her own. She is just one of those exceptional teachers that really truly cares passionately for her students. We love her and can't wait for at least one of the twins to have her in a couple of years.
- Ice cream from the Whippy Dip pit stop on the way home from the park. Yummo!
- Wave jumping! Yes, it was only in the 60s. Yes, the water was FRIGID! Yes, the students LOVED playing in it anyway. I am convinced children have no internal thermometer when it comes to water.
- The dune stair climb... She hiked up all 100+ stairs with no problem.
- My sparkle-eyed girl. LOVE.HER!
- Addison and some of her sweet friends.
- Running down the large dune on the beach. Only a few face plants and no injuries = success!
We are so proud of our chapter book reading, addition/subtraction whiz kid!
